Data Business Analyst (12M Contract) to HKD30K pm

Title: Data Business Analyst
Duration: 12-month contract
Salary: up to HKD30,000 per month depending on experience
 
The bank has outlined necessary control outcomes for downstream regulatory reporting processes. These controls are categorized into report production, data, and infrastructure controls. Regulatory reports that align with the new Cross Risk Policy are included in the control assessment to evaluate the effectiveness of report production processes.
 
The successful candidate will be responsible for executing and driving changes to implement these controls. This role, based in Hong Kong, is crucial for supporting the implementation of report production, data, and infrastructure controls for Risk and Compliance.
 
Principal Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Group, Region, and Country project teams, IT teams, and other functional units to implement data usage controls and remediation initiatives as part of the Integrity of Regulatory Report Programme.
  • Identify and analyze processes, data, and sourcing, working with process and data owners to manage data quality profiling and issues.
  • Ensure project deliverables adhere to internal data policies.
  • Provide effective updates and escalate issues to project teams and management.
  • Perform duties related to data management for the Bank's Risk functions.
Requirements
  • Over three years of experience in business analysis, data management, project management, or risk management within the banking or finance sector.
  • A degree in business, information systems, or related disciplines. Knowledge of finance systems, data processes, and finance reporting is advantageous.
  • Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese, with strong stakeholder management abilities to engage with all levels of management locally, regionally, and globally.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to understand and assess complex and large volumes of information and business processes.
