Vice President - Business Operations (Reinsurance)

Reporting to the Regional head of the Business Operations department, you will be driving strategic priorities, growth initiatives, and operational excellence, whilst inspiring, coordinating and executing cross-functional collaboration for property & casualty reinsurance business. This role will help shape the operational and strategic direction of the regional organization and reinforce a culture of accountability, simplicity, and speed in decision-making. 

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Partnership: Serve as a trusted business partner to the Regional Business Operations Head; build strong relationships with the regional leadership team and key stakeholders across the enterprise.
  • Strategy Development: Support the development and execution of regional growth strategy and market action plans; ensure alignment with enterprise objectives and evolving market dynamics.
  • Operational Management: Coordinate key operational processes such as administration, performance management, budgeting, cost control, and leadership workshop facilitation.
  • Leadership: Lead cross-functional initiatives that enhance business growth, operational excellence, and client outcomes.
  • Communication: Create and deliver high-impact executive-level reporting, insights, and strategic recommendations for senior leadership, including materials for C-suite and board-level audiences.
  • Implementation: Drive execution of enterprise, business unit, and regional initiatives; ensure local delivery is aligned with global strategy, standards, and governance.
  • Work location: Hong Kong or Singapore 
 
What we are looking for
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in a similar role and/or consulting within the reinsurance/insurance industry; Solid Property & Casualty knowledge would be essential.
  • Demonstrated success in leading complex, regional initiatives and delivering organizational change in a matrix environment.
  • Global mindset and experience working effectively across cultures.
  • Strong strategic and analytical capabilities; able to translate complex information into clear, actionable recommendations for executives.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills; able to collaborate across functions, geographies, and external partners.
  • Expert-level presentation and communication skills, including experience presenting to senior leadership.
  • Strong financial acumen and modelling skills with proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel
  • Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Insurance, or a related field.
