About the RoleThis role is responsible for driving the growth and profitability of assigned specialty product lines, with a focus on underwriting complex casualty risks, developing broker relationships, and managing portfolio performance. You’ll combine strong technical expertise with a commercial mindset to deliver sustainable results.
Key Responsibilities - Build and maintain strong broker and client relationships to support business growth
- Underwrite new and renewal business in line with guidelines, ensuring sound risk selection and pricing
- Execute negotiation strategies to achieve portfolio growth and profitability
- Deliver a high standard of service to brokers and clients
- Collaborate across teams to maximise cross-selling opportunities
- Monitor premium collections and resolve discrepancies with Finance
- Manage the portfolio to drive retention, growth, and performance
- Support and mentor junior team members
- Contribute to product development, market analysis, and strategic planning
- Review and negotiate policy terms, conditions, and endorsements
- Represent the business in marketing initiatives, client meetings, and industry events
- Work closely with internal teams (Claims, Risk, Operations, Compliance) to ensure seamless delivery
- Identify process improvements and drive operational efficiency
- Act as a technical referral point and maintain accurate reporting and compliance

- Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant systems
- Relevant degree preferred
