CIB AME Data Storage and Retention Manager (7M contract) to HKD110K pm

Title: CIB AME Data Storage and Retention Manager
Salary: Max 110k per month
Duration: 7 months maternity cover
  • Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB) for Asia & Middle East (AME)
  • Ideally looking for candidates with clear understanding/background in data management and data storage.
  • Candidate with strong project governance, presentations skills, and any experience with analytics/analysis would be a big plus.
  • Helpful to have Cantonese, and Mandarin language skills, but not an eliminating factor
Desired:
  • Familiarity with data lifecycle concepts: legal hold, eDiscovery, defensible disposal, data classification, and audit evidence
  • Awareness of common platforms where retention is applied (e.g., M365/SharePoint, enterprise content management, backup/archive, object storage)
  • Understanding of storage concepts (tiers, archiving, backup vs archive, immutability/WORM) to engage effectively with technical teams
  • Experience of supporting delivery of cross-functional programmes
  • Knowledge of the changing regulatory environment especially in the financial services sector
  • Directly relevant analytical experience within financial services or an alternative data driven organization
Description:

The role holder is responsible for supporting the CIB Data Management Lead on the Data strategy for Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) for ASP and MENAT (AME) in collaboration with the global team.

The Data Storage and Retention Manager coordinate delivery of data storage and retention requirements for CIB (Corporate and Institutional Banking) in Asia and the Middle East. The role is expected to ensure the implementation and compliance with the global Data Storage Policy, providing SME guidance, and contributing to continual implementation improvements for control roll-out.

The role will involve supporting the development and implementation of a global data storage operating model and associated procedures, enforcing and governing data accountability policies, ethical policies and data management benefits across CIB, aligning with the Chief of Data & Analytics Office, and the group Data Strategy.
