Product Mgr - Technical BA/Data Analyst (7M Contract) to HKD80K pm

Title: Product Manager - Technical BA/Data Analyst
Contract: 7 Months with good chance of conversion to permanent
Salary Range: to HKD80,000 (depending on experience)
 
Key Responsibilities
  1. Ontology & Knowledge Validation
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and SMEs to define and refine the ontology (nodes, edges, and schemas) that represents our banking policies.
  • Validate the quality of automated data extraction from unstructured policy documents, ensuring that entities and relationships accurately reflect business intent and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct manual and automated testing of the graph structure to identify inconsistencies, redundant data, or logical fallacies.
  1. Technical Liaison & Requirements Management
  • Act as the primary interface between the technical development team (Data Scientists/Engineers) and business stakeholders (Compliance, Risk, Ops).
  • Translate complex technical constraints of the graph database into actionable business requirements and vice versa.
  • Document data lineage, business rules, and mapping requirements for the ingestion pipelines.
  1. Query Testing & Quality Assurance
  • Design and execute comprehensive test plans for SPARQL or Cypher-based queries to ensure they provide accurate and performant results.
  • Analyze query output to ensure that the retrieved information complies with underlying policy documents.
  • Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) sessions, collecting feedback from SMEs to iterate on graph features and querying capabilities.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience: 3+ years as a Technical Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role, preferably in the Financial Services domain.
  • Knowledge Graph Familiarity: Proven understanding of Knowledge Graph concepts (Ontologies, RDF/OWL, Property Graphs).
  • Technical Literacy: * Proficiency in query languages (e.g., SPARQL, Cypher, SQL).
    • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation (schemas, data models).
    • Ability to interpret LLM outputs and LLM extraction-based issues
  • Domain Expertise: Understanding of banking/financial policy and procedure documentation is highly preferred.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional communication skills; ability to simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical SMEs.
  • Tools: Experience with tools like Protege, GraphDB, Neo4j, or similar graph management platforms.
