UI/UX Manager/Assistant Manager (2x 12M Contract) to HKD55K pm
ROLE ONE: UI/UX Manager Design Lead
Duration: 12 months
Salary: HKD40,000 - 55,000 per month (depending on experience)
Gratuity: 10% of salary earned upon contract completion
The job holder is responsible for:
- Apply strategic thinking to deliver end-to-end user experience solutions with a focus on user needs and business goals and be directly responsible for delivering all aspects of design, from defining customer needs to development
- Turn visions into concepts and translate those concepts into designs that illustrate simplicity despite system complexity. Utilize industry design standards and best practices to define screen designs, design guidelines, and design specs
- Ensure UI/UX and visual design communicates clearly, is on brand, and delights users
- Partner with Product Owner, Business, and IT to ensure the project meets its purposes and strategic objectives
- Manage the design process, drive decisions, track design issues and ensure that design specifications are implemented
- Present in a clear and compelling way to team members and stakeholders
- Support Design Researchers in carrying out participatory and iterative design techniques, including observational studies, customer interviews, usability testing, and other forms of qualitative and quantitative research to uncover insights, learn about user behavior and verify design concepts
- Maintain a view of emerging industry developments / trends on digital services to ensure the future strategy for the product developments are aligned with evolving developments in the market
- Collaborate and share knowledge with team members and stakeholders, and mentor designers on the team
- Manage interaction with digital agencies and design resource assigned to projects
- Contribute to the definition and creation of flexible, coherent design systems and component libraries
- Improve user interaction and interface within an Accessibility framework
- Promote User Centered Design principles and best practice within banking
Certifications, Qualifications & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in UI/UX Design leading projects
- Ability to understand detailed complex requirements to design elegant solutions for complicated processes
- Ability to clearly and effectively communicate ideas and solutions to stakeholders
- Be open to receiving feedback and constructive criticism
- Be passionate about all things UI/UX and other areas of design and innovation
- Proficient in UI/UX and interaction design with keen eye for branding, visual design, typography and user interface design and also an understanding of user centered design process
- Strong experience across desktop & native mobile app design
- Proficiency in UI/UX Software (Sketch, Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, InVision, Flinto, Zeplin)
- Experience in User Research techniques and usability testing is a big plus
- Experience working in an agile/scrum
- Ability to work within a Design System and propose various concepts within given constraints
- Good relationship management skills to satisfy a wider range of internal and external customers with conflicting priorities
- Strong online portfolio available for viewing
- Previous experience in the financial sector preferable but not a must

- Contribute to the definition and creation of flexible, coherent design systems and component libraries
- Partner with technology, business and project management to ensure the project meets creative, strategy, and project objectives
- Present in a clear and compelling way to team members and stakeholders
- Work closely with development teams to manage the design process, drive decisions, track design issues and ensure that design specifications are implemented
- Support design researchers in carrying out participatory and iterative design techniques, including observational studies, customer interviews, usability testing, and other forms of qualitative and quantitative research to uncover insights, learn about user behavior and verify design concepts
