We're seeking a talented and experienced Technical Business Analyst to join our team. As a key member, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and innovation by analysing business needs and developing technical solutions that optimise processes, improve efficiency, and minimise risk.

Key Responsibilities

• Requirements & Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyse business requirements.
• Technical Translation: Translate complex business needs into detailed technical requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications for development engineers.
• System & Data Analysis: Perform in-depth analysis of existing systems, data flows, and system integrations. This includes data modelling, data mapping, and understanding database structures.
• Solution Design: Collaborate with solution architects and developers to define and design technology solutions, ensuring they are feasible, scalable, and secure.
• API & Integration: Define requirements for APIs and system integrations, specifying data formats (e.g., JSON, XML), endpoints, and error-handling logic.
• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including business process diagrams, system architecture diagrams, data flow diagrams, and technical specifications.
• Testing & Validation: Develop test plans and test cases. May also participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure the final product meets the business requirements.
• Stakeholder Management: Serve as the technical liaison between business and technology engineers, ensuring clear communication.
• Process Improvement: Analyse existing business processes and identify opportunities for technical enhancements and automation.

Technical Skills

• SQL: Strong proficiency in writing complex SQL queries to retrieve and analyse data from relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL).
• API Knowledge: Solid understanding of API concepts (REST, SOAP) and experience using tools like Postman or Swagger to test and document APIs.
• Data Modelling: Experience creating and interpreting data models (conceptual, logical, physical) and understanding database operations.
• System Architecture: Familiarity with software development concepts, system architecture (e.g., microservices, monolithic), and cloud platforms (e.g., GCP).
• Prototyping & Coding: Familiarity with wireframing or prototyping tools such as Figma to create mockups and visualise solutions. Coding experience in at least scripting languages such as Excel VBA and python.
• BI Tools: Familiarity with data analysis and visualisation tools, such as Superset, Tableau or Power BI.

Soft Skills

• Analytical & Problem-Solving: Ability to dissect complex problems, analyse data, and propose effective solutions.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and vice-versa.
• Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills and a proven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous and thorough in analysing requirements and creating documentation.
• Stakeholder Management: Skilled at building consensus, managing expectations, and navigating competing priorities.

Education & Experience

• Degree: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience: 3-5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or in a similar technical role. What We Offer
