Job Description The role is instrumental in supporting the business to achieve benefits realisation and returns on their change investments, ensuring that our significant regulatory change programmes and policies requirements are considering all change aspects which will lead to a smooth implementation and transition to business as usual.
This role may occasionally lead other analysts on projects or programmes.
To ensure MSS's business are conducted in compliance with rules and regulations by relevant regulatory bodies and group internal guidelines, and all relevant control measures are undertaken to minimize the risk exposure of the Bank. The role is also to enhance awareness of MSS on regulations and devise possible solution to cope with regulatory changes and group policy and control frameworks.
Job Description
- Support Regulatory Change projects and the ongoing adherence
- Conduct Impact analysis on new regulations from global and local regulators
- Design procedures and internal control workflow to fulfill Group's and regulatory requirement
- Implement new processes, procedures & control Front to Back in MSS
- Provide training on new regulatory requirements, processes, and controls
- Risk and control assessments to identify key risks, implications and the relevant controls
- Conduct governance forums to oversee the changes of regulatory and policy implementation as well as non-financial risk related matters
Requirements
- University graduate with minimum 10 years' experience in financial markets, preferably with good compliance or change management; experience in driving global regulatory project preferred
- Deep knowledge of risk and control frameworks
- Excellent stakeholder management, able to influence and challenge constructively at senior level
- Strong judgement and governance capability and experience preparing materials for regulators, audits and governance forums
- Strong analytical problem solving, prioritization skills and be able to perform multitasks under pressure
- Resilient, capable to work effectively and responsibly in a dynamic environment
- Great sense of ownership and serving mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer services processes
- Excellent team player with a proactive and self-motivated attitude and ability to think and act independently
- Proficiency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin
Principal responsibilities - Plan and govern delivery: define scope, milestones, delivery approach (Agile/Hybrid), RAID, dependencies, and delivery metrics; maintain delivery plans and status reporting.
- Lead cross-functional squads (engineering, product, UX, data, operations, risk/compliance) to deliver at pace, removing blockers and driving decisions.
- Manage stakeholders and communications: run steering updates, set expectations, negotiate trade-offs (scope/time/cost), and ensure transparency on progress and risks.
- Manage project life cycle including preparation of user requirements and product papers, collaboration with internal and external partners for the delivery of the projects including but not limited to UAT, training, execution of marketing campaigns and production support.
- Work closely with stakeholders including product owners, marketing, legal, compliance, contact center teams, frontline staffs, technical teams and external vendors to drive digital KPI, including design and execute targeted up-sell/cross-sell strategy/campaign in omni-channel platforms
- Gather, report and present digital platform usage analysis, and market intelligence
- Provide training, coaching, ongoing support and communication sessions to colleagues and customers on new digital products, services and policies
- Analyze latest market data in banking and financial industry/channel statistics to derive fit for purpose digital solution and customer journey
- Compile reports and presentation materials on research findings and recommendations
- Take personal ownership of the customer digital experience, and ensure all team members take personal responsibility for managing their digital customers' relationship with local and global stakeholders
