Title: Bank Business Analyst Salary: to HKD 38K per monthDuration: 6 months with possibility to renew Chinese language requirement Role Overview: Support Private Banking Middle Office teams by analyzing processes and data, gathering requirements, and helping deliver operational improvements and change initiatives that enhance client service, efficiency, and control outcomes.
Key Requirements: Proficiency in assessing and implementing digital tools and technologies. Microsoft office (Excel/PowerPoint/word etc..),as must and knowledge or experience on VBA will be plus, with data analytic mindset (Languages: English is must and either Cantonese or Mandarin). Approximate years of experience required: Fresh graduation is welcome
Key Responsibilities: - Capture and document business requirements (e.g., user stories, process maps, functional requirements) with guidance from senior colleagues.
- Support process analysis across Middle Office activities to identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Assist with data analysis and MI reporting (volumes, turnaround times, exceptions) and summarise insights for stakeholders.
- Coordinate with stakeholders across Front Office, Operations, Compliance/Risk, and Technology to clarify needs and priorities.
- Support UAT preparation and execution (test scenarios, evidence, defect logging, retesting and sign-off tracking).
- Maintain clear documentation and action logs (RAID, meeting notes, decisions) to ensure traceability and audit readiness.
- Contribute to the creation and upkeep of SOPs, user guides, and change communications/training materials.
Role Requirements: - Strong analytical skills and attention to detail;
- able to structure problems and present clear findings.
- Good communication skills with the ability to produce concise, high-quality documentation.
- Microsoft office (Excel/PowerPoint/word etc..),as must and knowledge or experience on VBA will be plus, exposure to data/reporting tools is a plus.
- Interest in Private Banking/Middle Office operations and a strong risk-and-controls mindset.
