Assistant Manager - Distribution - Project Manager/Producer Enablement

Job Summary:

As part of an ongoing transformation journey—including digital enablement, product innovation, process optimization, and enhanced producer engagement—a leading global insurer is strengthening its market presence and operational excellence.


In this role, you will play a key part in managing producer onboarding and maintenance in accordance with Insurance Authority (IA) regulations. You’ll contribute to cross-functional initiatives, including product and system development, while collaborating with departments such as Legal & Compliance, Finance, Operations, Marketing, and IT to support broader strategic transformation efforts.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain governance frameworks to ensure producer management practices are compliant with regulatory standards.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and industry trends, updating internal policies to ensure continued compliance.
  • Prepare reports and dashboards on producer activity, onboarding progress, and process improvements for management review.
  • Provide training and guidance to internal stakeholders and producers on procedures, systems, and compliance expectations.
  • Support the drafting of producer agreements using standard legal templates, ensuring records are accurate and up to date.
  • Manage onboarding processes and ongoing updates to producer information, offering full process support.
  • Oversee the maintenance and performance of the online producer portal to ensure accuracy and usability.
  • Participate in IT, audit, risk, and governance-related projects to enhance internal control and compliance frameworks.
  • Conduct regular governance control exercises to ensure daily operations align with internal policy and delegated authority.
  • Work with IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve incidents, minimizing disruption to producer operations.
  • Execute user acceptance testing (UAT) for internal systems and tools to ensure functionality and user experience.
  • Foster strong relationships with cross-functional stakeholders to drive effective project implementation.
  • Support ad hoc tasks and special projects as needed.
Requirements:
  • 6–8 years of relevant experience in insurance, particularly in producer management and project coordination.
  • Bachelor’s degree or above; professional insurance qualifications are an advantage.
  • Solid understanding of producer governance within general insurance, with proven project delivery experience.
  • Strong interest in insurance operations, governance, and digital transformation.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, with strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent in English and Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin); advanced PC skills required.
  • Immediate availability preferred.
