Key Responsibilities:
- Underwrite and expand a profitable portfolio, focusing on targeted segments.
- Manage the renewal book while actively identifying and developing new business opportunities.
- Consistently meet or exceed financial targets and performance plans.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with clients, brokers, and agents to maximize business opportunities.
- Maintain a high market profile and ensure consistent engagement with partners.
- Collaborate with the Head of Department to develop and execute clear sales strategies and action plans.
- Work cross-functionally with internal teams to support business development initiatives.
- Take on additional projects and responsibilities to support the goals of the Business Distribution Team.
- Champion the brand, mission, and values to enhance our presence and reputation in the local market.
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 8 years of experience in business development or underwriting, ideally with a strong focus on Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and adapting to change.
- Strong decision-making, interpersonal, and communication skills, both internally and externally.
