About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Business Tester to join our payments team. In this role, you will design and execute comprehensive test plans for our mobile applications, ensuring all deliverables meet business requirements and customer expectations. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, playing a key role in delivering high-quality testing in an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute test cases and test plans for new features and application releases.
- Perform functional, end-to-end, regression, exploratory, and accessibility testing – for both iOS and Android
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers and Designers to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.
- Review user stories, requirements, and acceptance criteria, ensuring they are clear, complete, and testable
- Identify, document, and track software defects using JIRA and Confluence; work with developers to resolve issues quickly.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, project planning and requirement reviews, contributing to test strategy, timelines and test data preparation.
- Support production releases and post-release health checks, including occasional midnight or weekend deployments.
- Ensure application accessibility by conducting accessibility testing to meet required standards.
- Communicate testing progress, result, and issues clearly and promptly to all stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience in software testing, business analysis, or quality assurance, with a focus on mobile applications
- Hands-on experience in functional, regression, accessibility, and exploratory testing.
- Strong analytic and troubleshooting skills, with a keen eye for detail and edge cases.
- Excellent communication skills in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin (written and verbal)
- Proficiency with JIRA for bug tracking and project management; experience with Confluence is a plus
- Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.
- Working knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing best practices.
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Ability to support off-hours production releases as needed.
- Experience supporting UAT and end-user training.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and relevant tools
- Experience in test planning and test strategy development for mobile projects
- ISTQB/ other testing related certification is a plus
