The Role
As a lead for New Product Initiatives, you will play a pivotal role in identifying, scoping, and driving the development of innovative financing products from 0 to 1. You will own the strategy, roadmap, and execution of new initiatives aimed at addressing unmet customer needs in lending, credit, and embedded finance. This is a high-impact role that requires a balance of strategic thinking, customer empathy, technical fluency, and execution excellence.
What You'll Do
- Lead New Product Development: Identify market opportunities and customer problems in the financing space. Develop product concepts, validate hypotheses, and launch MVPs.
- Define Strategy & Roadmap: Set the vision and strategy for new product lines, working closely with leadership, design, engineering, and data teams.
- User-Centric Discovery: Conduct user research, interviews, and data analysis to deeply understand customer needs, especially in the context of lending, credit, or alternative financing.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with engineering, design, risk, compliance, and operations to deliver scalable and compliant financial products.
- Experimentation & Iteration: Design experiments, pilots, and A/B tests to validate product ideas and iterate rapidly based on feedback and results.
- Go-to-Market Coordination: Collaborate with marketing, sales, and customer success to launch and grow adoption of new products.
- Metrics & Impact: Define, track, and own key product success metrics like adoption, conversion, NPS, and unit economics.
- Experience: 8+ years in product management, with at least 2 years in fintech, lending, or financial services. Experience launching 0 to 1 products is a must.
- Financing Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of credit products, lending models, underwriting, and/or embedded finance.
- Customer Obsessed: Strong empathy for users and a passion for solving their problems.
- Data-Driven: Comfortable analyzing data, running experiments, and making decisions based on insights.
- Technical Fluency: Ability to work closely with engineering on backend systems, APIs, and integrations relevant to financial products.
- Excellent Communication: Able to clearly articulate product ideas, influence stakeholders, and align cross-functional teams.
- Entrepreneurial Mindset: Comfortable with ambiguity, fast-paced environments, and wearing multiple hats.
